Brian Jolin is a passionate advocate for the opportunities that diversity, equity, and inclusion hold within our industry. His philosophy is that by being introduced to those that have different backgrounds, thoughts, and perspectives from our own, we can more thoughtfully approach the diverse world around us.
In 2020 Brian approached AIM’s CEO, Nichole Stella, with a question about how AIM as a community was addressing the education of diverse perspectives. With that, the AIM Diversity program was born not for the singular value of AIM as an organization, but the betterment of the industry as a whole. Brian sees this as a calling, not for individual distributors or suppliers, and not even for our industry exclusively, but the future of our world. When asked why the diversity conversation is important, Brian’s simple response should resonate for everyone, “because it’s just better for humanity”.
The AIM Diversity series continues with a facilitated conversation regarding DEI in the Workplace on Tuesday, April 13 at 12pm EDT. This event is free and open to all those in the industry that wish to participate.
